JEE Main 2020 Application Form: Dates, Registration Fee

The important dates for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2020 have been released by National Testing Agency (NTA) on the official website, jeemain.nic.in on 22 August 2019. Following this, the process of filing the JEE Main Application Form 2020 will begin. Furthermore, the month allocated for the application form process is September for the January attempt, wherein the form will be released on the 2nd of September and can be filled till the last of the month. Likewise, the form for the April attempt will be released on the 7th of February.

The JEE Main Application Form 2020 can be filled in three steps, namely the filling up of details, uploading the documents and finally the fee payment. Henceforth, it’s mandatory to understand the process of filling the form in to dodge any kind of error. For instance, you must have a clear idea of what documents are needed during the process to keep the documents ready beforehand.

JEE Main January attempt for both Engineering and Architecture students would be conducted in the second week of January, following the result of which the form for the April attempt would be released. How to fill JEE Main 2020 Application Form?

Time needed: 45 minutes.

If you’re planning to appear for the JEE Main 2020 exam, then it’s vital to know the process of filling the form to avoid further confusion. Below are the steps for reference that must be sequentially followed to successfully submit the application form.

1. Visit Official Website
   Visit the official website, jeemain.nic.in and click on the “Apply for JEE Main 2020” tab
2. Click on JEE Main 2020 Application Form
   Now you are at official website a page will state buttons for filling the form. Click on “JEE Main 2020 Application Form” to proceed.
3. Enter Personal Information-
   Henceforth, a page will open that will require you to fill personal details such as candidate’s name, date of birth, gender etc etc..
4. Enter Examination Information
   This encompasses the course for which you want to apply, Mode of Exam (only online), the medium of examination (English, Hindi, Gujarati) and Choice of Examination City (four options must be mentioned)
5. Enter Communication Details
   Full address, which includes the city, state, country, mobile number, landline number (if any), and the email address are included.
6. Enter Academic Details
   The marks of 10th and 12th board must be specified here.
7. Enter Guardian Details
   Parent’s education and the income specifications must be made in these blanks.
8. Review Application Form
   You can submit the form and review it to make changes, if any. After carefully glancing through all the details, you can submit the form and proceed ahead.
9. Upload Documents
   The verification of the mobile number and email ID is done here through OTP, after which scanned documents have to be attached to the form. Upload a scanned passport size photograph and signature. Once you click on the submit button, the documents will get uploaded.
10. Fee Payment
    Now comes the step of fee payment. For this, you can select a suitable payment mode, add the bank details and make the transaction.
11. Print Confirmation Page
    Furthermore, print the copy of the confirmation page for future reference.

Documents Required For JEE Main 2020 Application Form

Candidates are advised to be ready with all of these documents. So that, JEE Main 2020 Application Form could be filled on time. Some of them will be needed by the candidates for the purpose of reference and other, needs to be uploaded. Can one edit the preference cities during the correction process?

No

Will the application form get rejected in case of duplicate forms?

This situation leads to the cancellation of form. However, NTA will release admit card for one of the application forms and process with that.

What size and dimension of photograph and signature is standardized for the JEE Main Application Form?

Size and dimension for the photograph is 10KB to 100KB, 3.5cm * 4.5cm respectively, and for the signature, it’s 4K to 30K, 3.5cm * 1.5 cm respectively.
